Baby Update

Andrea had another doctors visit yesterday. Baby was fine, but the news was still discouraging. He was measuring at a baby of 36 weeks rather than a baby of 37 weeks, which is where he's at now. The doctor thinks he'll be late. Andrea's mom is taking time off to help her after the baby's born, but won't be able to leave work if the baby is born too late, which means she'll be all alone for much of the day. Please pray Baby Wallace is born on time and healthy.

Hi Nate,

Kel Langeliers here. How are you guys? Rob gave me your blog address a while back and I check in on you guys every now and again - congrats on the upcoming baby Wallace.

We had baby Lexi in January - all 9lb 4 oz of her! And I am here to tell you that your baby is more than likely just the right size. The doctors (thought they make out otherwise) cannot actually tell with a huge amount of accuracy exactly how big he is at this point...and besides, the range of 'healthy' birth weights is huge. A baby 3 pounds lighter than Lexi was would still be a healthy birth size - and she wasn't that huge.

I say relax and it will all happen as it is meant to. Hopefully Andrea's Mom is completely set on the baby coming exactly on the due date? (Because prediciting due dates is another 'science' that lacks accuracy).

Good luck!

Kel.
