Settling in

All our "stuff" is moved but we still have boxes every where. We have a lot of stuff! All of the big furniture was moved on the 13th and then a lot of the garage things and misc. stuff was brought over during the following week by Andrea's Dad, Tony, in his trailer. He would show up with a trailer load to be unloaded in the morning before Nate went to work. It was a really long week for both of them - They worked very hard! Dad even cleaned the duplex after everything was out. He did a fantastic job and what he didn't get to - Nate cleaned! There is finally enough space on the kitchen counters that we can now cook food in our new home rather than eating more fast food. :) The bedrooms are mostly unpacked it is now just a matter of figuring out where to store the Christmas and camping "stuff". It used to be in the garage, but at the new house we don't have one. Eventually we will get a storage shed for the backyard. But first a dishwasher! We knew we would have to get new appliances eventually but didn't realize that the poor dishwasher had seen better days...There is always by hand :)
The photo is from Caleb's Valentine's photo shoot (a week late). It would be hard to say who had more fun. Caleb being chased around the yard by Andrea or Andrea chasing Caleb around the yard taking pictures.

Soon to be home owners...

Since we last posted, the sellers accepted our offer and we had a home inspection which went well. We are asking them to fix a couple things and get the furnace serviced. I guess we'll know this weekend if they agree. Next, there will be a home appraisal and then finalizing the loan...It looks like we may be moving mid-February! Crazy!!! If you would like to pray for us, praying for organization and energy would be awesome. Neither of us enjoys packing or moving and Andrea is on-call for work every other weekend for the next 2 months.

We Made an Offer!

We made an offer on a house today. We offered less than they are asking for, but are hoping that they will accept it. There is a bunch of other stuff that has to work out too. Like the home inspection and getting all our loan paperwork in. But so far things look good!

To buy or not to buy?

Nate's parents came down from Tacoma today so that we could go house hunting. Jodi, our buyer's agent, is awesome. She took us to see 5 houses. A couple were definite no's but there was one that we went back to twice. We are taking Andrea's parents there tomorrow to check it out again. Please pray that we will have wisdom in making the decision on whether on not we should buy this house.

(It has a room that would be perfect for a quilting studio, so Andrea has lost all logic. And Nate loves the openness and the backyard)

I can't believe it!

We found out this morning that it looks like we are having a girl! We get to have a follow up ultrasound again in 6 weeks but, both the tech and the doctor were convinced that it's a girl! The follow up ultrasound is because there was a little extra fluid around the kidneys (3.5 instead of 3) and baby dearest would not cooperate and let them take a look at her left arm. They could see the hand but not the actual arm because of the angle. She finally turned, but turned the wrong way, and hid that arm even more! The doctor thinks everything is okay and just wants to recheck again. We are going to pray that the doctor is right and that we find out everything is fine at our next ultrasound and that baby is healthy!

How did we get to Fall already?

We haven't posted for awhile, So while Nate is reading to Caleb. I thought I would throw some pictures on the blog.

Caleb recently got a new hat and mittens - which he modeled for me. What a ham!

Caleb playing with Nate's Indian flute. He can't figure out why it sounds so different when daddy plays it...

At the end of September we went to Marilyn's house for a dinner for Rob's birthday. The brother of this turkey was the main course... Yum! It was great to see Marilyn and Rob but Caleb was more fascinated by the chickens, ducks, and turkeys!

Caleb's cousin, Preston, left his pumpkin at Maemae and Bapa's house. Caleb quickly decided it was fun to tote around.

The Things a Baby Gets Into

Caleb loves getting into things. I thought I'd show you a synopsis of various places that Caleb finds interesting.

He climbed into Moose's kennel on many occasions. Sometimes Moose was in there with him!

Caleb loves to get into cabinets and drawers.

Don't exactly know how he pulled this one off, but he did.

This is a classic example of what happens when you turn your back on him.

Just clowning around.

Causing trouble at Special Olympics.

Sometimes you only see the aftermath of what he got into.

Boxes abounded after our move.

Caleb loves playing with Mommy's fabric.

He even finds places to crawl into at church. Here he is under an end table.

That's all for now. I'll show off the garden next.
