Meanwhile...

So while Lucy, Nate and I were at the hospital, Caleb spent some special time with Bapa. One of the things they did was visit the beach. I love this photo of the back of Caleb because so often it is the only side I see as he dashes off to his next adventure.
Moments after this photo was taken he dashed off to chase the dog and kite. Bapa had a hard time getting him to leave the beach so they brought a pail of sand home with them.

Baby Lucy arrives!

Baby Lucy arrived Tuesday and weighed 8 pounds even. She is the most adorable baby ever to be seen in the Pacific Northwest region. A little jaundiced but thanks to a mother willing to torture her to get her to nurse, hopefully the jaundice will be short lived. She currently spends 24 hours a day sleeping only to wake when her mother begs her to nurse and strokes her with a wet wash cloth. Her older brother is very concerned with her well being and checks on her frequently. Dad has had the honor of changing almost all of her black tar diapers and should receive his t-shirt soon.
